Krishna, although born to Devaki and Vasudeva in a prison cell in Mathura, was raised by Nanda Maharaja and his wife Yashoda in Gokula. Krishna wasn’t disguised as a prince. He was raised openly as the beloved son of Nanda Maharaja, who was indeed a king, specifically the chief of the cowherd community in Gokula.

His true divinity as God was certainly disguised. He was known as an incredible being but it wasn’t until he openly came out to Arjun as God himself that his true identity was known.

Oh, I see! 😅 I initially thought you were suggesting that Krishna was being seen as a trickster rather than a prince. You're right; he is indeed presenting himself as Arjuna's "friend" and "prince," while in reality, he is Bhagavan.

Well he was def known as a prankster. The story of him stealing butter as a child comes to mind but yea def not a trickster in the sinister sense. Overall, he was very gracious, loving, compassionate, just, and kind.

When I was in India undergoing my classical tantra initiation, I saw a play about the Bhadavad Gita. I also talked a lot about this story with my Indian spiritual family. I’m very excited about this series you’re producing!!! Thank you for doing this!
